Mobile technology is changing not only the way people communicate, but also how they live. Deeply rooted social habits are giving way to new, more tech-friendly ones, which ultimately make life more convenient.
But the use of mobile technology has not had the same kind of impact everywhere; different industries, economies, and peoples’ characters have shaped market trends, which shift depending upon the continent in question.
Thus, GSMA, organizer of the leading events in the mobile sector, such as Mobile World Congress and Mobile Asia Expo, in 2014 once again presents the Mobile 360 series forums, a series of 1-or 2-day events all over the world. Senior executives in mobile industries and other related sectors will meet with government representatives and other relevant figures to discuss issues that are key to each territory. Mobile 360 Series represents a great opportunity to learn about the most important technological innovations, and encourages networking among professionals and companies.
North America, the Middle East, Africa and Europe; or, more specifically, Atlanta, Dubai, Cape Town and Brussels: these are the cities that will host the series of forums during the last quarter of 2014.
GSMA Mobile 360 Series North America. What can we expect to find?
On 22 and 23 September Atlanta will host a series of regional forums dedicated for the first time to the industry in North America, a market that, as the most advanced in the implementation of 4G networks, leads the way in the development of latest-generation services. Atlanta, the world hub of mobile technology and home to a large number of companies related to the industry, for two days will welcome over 35 speakers, who will articulate their views before professionals from the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The sessions scheduled on the agenda include:
- State of the Industry: Growth Strategies in a Forward Focused Market, keynote lead by Michael O’Hara, CMO, GSMA; Ralph de la Vega, President & CEO, AT&T Mobile & Business Solutions; Meredith Baker, President & CEO, CTIA and Jessica Rosenworcel, Commissioner, FCC.

The event will also feature the GSMA Showcase, a space to learn all about GSMA’s programs and initiatives related to Connected Living, Digital Commerce, Personal Data and Network 2020. Demonstrations of innovative products based on augmented reality, mobile entertainment, NFC technology, and much more can also be seen during the two-day event. Last but not least, the AT&T Connected Car will be presented, an invention that promises to transform lives in the near future.
A packed program that will continue its tour in the Middle East, Africa and Europe, seeking to promote the development of mobile-related innovations around the world.
