Aside from being the last month of the year, December is a period traditionally looked forward to as a time for skiing, Christmas and holidays. But December is also the month marking the start of the next edition of Startupbootcamp Barcelona – IoT and Data, the programme focused on the Internet of Things and Smart Data organised by Europe’s leading business acceleration platform.
For the second year the Startupbootcamp team is preparing to find 10 disruptive startups with a view to investing in them, guiding them, preparing them for the current market, and making them grow. On 24 August 2015 the application period opened for a programme that in the previous edition catapulted projects like Ôasys and Zolertia onto the market.
Why should your startup participate in this acceleration programme?
- Investment: Startupbootcamp Barcelona – IoT and Data offers each startup €15,000 in seed funding and €450,000 in services from collaborating companies and organisations.
- Learning and exposure: Over the course of 3 intense months of work, all the teams will have access to a complete programme of coaching, workshops, masterclasses and individual sessions led by more than 100 entrepreneurs, mentors, investors and partners. This process, which begins on 1 December, will help startups to firm up their projects through 3 phases: Shaping, Building and Selling.
- Work space: The programme makes available to its participants 3 free months of office space, with an option for 3 more at the MediaTIC – Barcelona Growth Centre, located in a quintessential technological district: 22@. The opportunity to live and work in Barcelona, a hub specialised in smart solutions, is another one of the programme’s advantages.
- Visibility and opportunities: Startupbootcamp’s acceleration means access to international markets and exposure to more than 200 investors. The program also offers participants the opportunity to participate in 4 Years From Now (4YFN), the international mobile entrepreneurship event backed by Mobile World Capital Barcelona, where they will be able to make pitches to thousands of agents in the sector.
