To bring about society’s digital transformation it is essential for citizens to adopt tech-based products and services. In the area of Health, getting these tools to institutions, professionals and patients is vital to fostering higher quality of life.
Goals like this are those pursued by events like the first day of mHealth.cat, promoted by the TicSalut Foundation in cooperation with the Department of Health of the Regional Government of Catalonia, its Department of Labour, Social Affairs and Families; and Mobile World Capital Barcelona. On Tuesday, March 15 the Cibernàrium, at the MediaTIC Building in the 22@ district, hosted the celebration of an event aimed at the directors and managers of entities in the sector, professionals and associated companies.
On the first day of mHealth.cat projects were presented, like Catalonia’s Mobile Technology Master Plan, the App Salut portal, and the new mHealth.cat Office, established in order to support the development of proposals, initiatives and applications related to mobile technologies in Catalonia, offering all kinds of resources and counsel with regards to mHealth.
Joan Cornet, Director of mHealth at Mobile World Capital, was one of those responsible for kicking off a day that also featured participation by Francesc García Cuyás, Director of the TicSalut Foundation; Albert Serra, Secretary General of the Department of Health; and Mireia Mata, General Director of the Equality division.
