4 Years From Now (4YFN), the business platform for the growing international community of technological startups driven by Mobile World Capital Barcelona, launches 4YFN 2017.
The fourth edition organized in collaboration with GSMA Mobile World Congress, will be held in Barcelona between 27th February and 1st March. It will count with the representation of more than 150 countries and structures. It is programmed along 3 central themes: Disrupted by Mobile, Internet of Things and Digital Media.
In just 3 days, 4YFN 2017 will host more than 100 talks, with over 270 speakers such as Michael Spiegelman, Director of Product Innovation for Growth & Acquisition at Netflix; JP Rangaswami, Chief Data Officer of Deutsche Bank; Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP Group, one of the major international advertising groups; and Fernando Fanton, Chief Product & Technology Officer of JUST EAT, the world’s leading digital marketplace for takeaway food delivery.
4YFN supports the entrepreneurial talent with the 4YFN digital Awards 2017. The registration period for the competition will be open until 4th January 2017. The finalist startups will be announced on Wednesday 25th January. The event will also showcase the Innovation Market, an exhibition area that will host more than 600 exhibitors, an initiative that promotes the creation and growth of startups in the digital and mobile space.
The fourth edition of 4YFN will host the demo days of Startupbootcamp IoT& Data and NUMA Barcelona, both acceleration programmes driven by mVenturesBcn, a programme of MWCapital that promotes the creation and growth of digital startups in the mobile industry.
4YFN 2017 will also feature the competitions of the Global Mobile Challenge, Telefonica Open Future_, KPMG Best British Mobile Startup Competition and Hack_D_Gap Global Challenge, a contest to generate solutions, innovative products or services, in order to encourage equality in the technological industry.
Since its first edition, 4YFN has experienced an exponential leap in its development in terms of the event itself and of its organization. The initial project, which was conceived as an adjacent event to the GSMA Mobile World Congress, has become one of the largest international platforms for digital entrepreneurs. The platform has multiplied its activity both on a national and international level, and now hosts a constant programme of activities throughout the year.
During 2016, 4YFN has been present for the first time in the GSMA Mobile World Congress Shanghai and has held its own space in the DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Festival, the biggest digital congress in Israel.
