The mSchools program wraps up its first edition with a day that will recognize the best work produced by students. The “Let’s Mobilize Computer Technology” (Movilizemos la informática) course, which forms part of mSchools, has allowed 4th year ESO (high school) students at 196 schools in Catalonia to learn to design mobile applications in the classroom.
Mobile World Capital Barcelona, a promoter of the mSchools project along with the Catalonian Department of Education, GSMA and the City of Barcelona, wishes to spotlight and recognize this work, and will dedicate an entire day to the presentation of the different schools’ initiatives.
The celebration, which will take place on June 6 at the TecnoCampus in Mataró, will honor the six most innovative app ideas, in five categories: Personal Management, Leisure, Communications, Education and Services. The winners will have the chance to work with professional teams of developers to implement the applications devised by the students so that they can be launched onto the market.
Proposals may be presented until May 27 via the website of the Telematics Education Network of Catalonia (XTEC). The 25 finalists will have the opportunity to present and exhibit their work live during the last day of the course.
