Moscow Zoo has bet on including Augmented Reality in its new 150 Anniversary app. Using this technology visitors can see real size animals, interact with them and take pictures next to bears, rhinos or hippos out of their cages.
They will be able to see animals that can’t live there because of Moscow weather conditions and get information about them as well.
One more step in a classical culture model like zoos, where your smartphone becomes a partner and ally, completing educational experiences.

In theme parks the supplementary app has already turned almost essential.
These Apps have the user located in the park domains and inform about queuing status, timetables and other available services, such as different food styles in restaurants or special events happening at the moment.
Parks like Port Aventura, Warner Park or Disneyland Paris already have available Apps using all features of geolocation and permanently data connection. Another example of how mobile technology is changing and giving value to activities we used to do in other ways.
