A sneak peek at the Mobile World Congress 2013!

Posted on September 4, 2012

Burn down the date for the next Congress, in case you hadn’t already: it will be held on February 25-28 2013, Monday to Thursday as usual.

With still 5 months to go, but already working intensely, we’re happy to announce several news launched by the GSM Association:

  • First of all, there is a new 2013 Congress Website. Information and highlights from ’12 are now on the archives, and from now the website will showcase the freshest news of ’13 edition
  • Closing of the Call for papers. You can still submit your proposal to be part of this year’s program. The deadline is Friday 14th at midnight Eastern Time (EDT, this is, Saturday at 6AM CET), the deadline has just been extended!
  • The first keynote speakers have been confirmed, among them Nokia’s CEO Stephen Elop, but also the top directives of several operators, as well as other top figures, check them out in the  first draft of the agenda.

Finally, let us remind you that the upcoming MWCongress will be held at a new state-of-the art venue. We’re moving from Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue, to the modern Gran Via venue, a much bigger and spacious place, only 3 metro stops  away from our former site. The following map shows these and other locations that will be useful for 2013 edition.
