Can you imagine experiencing a concert from the stage at Palau Sant Jordi in front of 17,000 people? MWCapital and Barcelona Music Lab, with the collaboration of Acciona, Eurecat and Damm, have organised a musical experience for all five senses. This is achieved by recreating the last concert of the indie pop band IZAL at Palau San Jordi, allowing participants to enjoy it from the stage in an immersive 360° experience through Virtual Reality glasses. To enrich the experience and enjoy the concert in five dimensions, elements have been added to encourage the user to experience it through all the senses, generating a unique and realistic environment, which will allow them to move around the stage as if they were the artist.

Plantiverse is a metaverse with plants. The project connects sensors to indoor plants we have at home to create a digital replica in the metaverse, and from the interpretation of the data, it generates images that are then coined as NFTrees. Digital art made from the data of these plants can be placed on sale, and the funds can be used for sustainable initiatives. Visitors to BEAT BARCELONA will be able to meet Herbie, an intelligent plant with whom they can interact to discover all the possibilities it has to offer.

BEAT BARCELONA will also display a digital art gallery. Promoted by Moool, it will include emblematic pieces by prestigious and long-standing artists related to the city of Barcelona, such as: Javier Mariscal (creator of Cobi, exhibiting pieces created for Barcelona ‘92) and Federico Babina. Visitors to the space can discover new creations by artists who have adapted to the digital age. In addition, they will be able to take home a piece of art in NFT format.

Is it possible to listen to music played by well-known DJs in silence, and in a club that no longer exists? At BEAT BARCELONA, you can. The 'Silent DJ’ experience uses virtual reality to transport visitors back to the 1970s inside the legendary Maddox nightclub in Playa de Aro. Through headphones, attendees will be able to enjoy live DJ sets, located in different venues, all outside MWC23. A unique way to return to Maddox and listen to great music in a personalised way.
