Jump2Digital, the largest meeting point for digital talent in Barcelona, starts its second edition

  • Jump2Digital will bring together more than 2,000 participants, almost twice as many as in the last edition.
  • Organized by Mobile World Capital Barcelona, the event aims at helping digital talent join the labor market, connecting job seekers with technology companies and promoting digital training.
  • This edition will feature more than 30 presentations by renown content creators, such as Jordi Wild, Nerea Luís or Pau Garcia-Milà, adding up more than 20 million followers all together.

Next Friday November 25, Mobile World Capital Barcelona’s (MWCapital) Barcelona Digital Talent will host the second edition of Jump2Digital. The event will gather more than 2.000 participants, almost twice as many as the first edition, in a pioneering event that wants to shed light on the importance of the digital talent and digital talent job market in Barcelona.

Jump2Digital 2022 will be held for yet another year in the Llotja de Mar, at a time when the technology sector has become one of the city’s main employers. The conference will connect tech companies, training organizations and professionals interested in redirecting towards the digital sector.

To broaden the scope of the event, Mobile World Capital Barcelona has included new activities in the event’s program such as metaverse immersive experiences; an on site artificial intelligence based art contest; personalized mentoring in a dedicated space featuring professional guidance by a team of ICT experts, as well as a networking area; the Hack Tour where attendees will have to solve a series of challenges; and the Twitch Area, the event’s live online streaming stage which will be joined by speakers who will help unveil this edition’s novelties.

Jump2Digital 2022 will also feature more than 30 presentations by some of today’s most relevant digital content creators such as Jordi Wild, Javier Santaolalla, Nerea Luís, Marta Hallo, Pau Garcia-Milà or Lauri in Metaverse, among others. Together, they will discuss technological hot topics such as blockchain, the metaverse or Artificial Intelligence.

“At MWCapital we believe that, today more than ever, it is essential to offer tools to anyone who wants to start in the technological and digital sector or redirect their career professional towards this environment,” explains Jordi Arrufí, MWCapital’s Digital Talent area director and Barcelona Digital Talent spokesperson. “In addition, last year we organized more than 300 job interviews with different leading digital companies. With our continuous goal of helping digital talent grow, this year we bring new formats and activities, and continue to work together with top-level speakers”.

The event that connects digital professionals and companies 

Jump2Digital 2022 is once again committed to connect participants with companies that are looking for digital talent through activities such as the Hackathon, a Backend and Data Science professionals skill contest; Speed ​​Dating consisting of 15-minute job meetings between job seekers and companies looking for junior digital professionals such as ManoMano, Nestlé, Pepsico, Zurich or Sanofi; and 12 training workshops on cybersecurity, blockchain and app and web development by leading organizations such as Ironhack, Nuclio Digital School, Assembler Institute of Technology, EAE Business School, Kschool and the Barcelona Activa IT Academy.

One more year, companies such as CaixaBank, Pepsico, Alexion, Bayer, Accenture, NTT DATA, DKV, Experis, Nestlé, HP, Sanofi or Ocado Technology, among others, will take part in the event providing insights about the type of professionals they demand and contacting people looking for their first professional experience.
