Mobile World Capital Barcelona is a foundation that promotes the digital development of society
Foundation
After 12 years, Mobile World Capital Barcelona has managed to consolidate itself as a driver of digital transformation, putting people at the centre of the debate, and being a global benchmark in technology transfer, promotion of digital talent and guarantor of technology with impact.
MWCapital hosts MWC Barcelona annually and are founders of 4 Years From Now [4YFN], the business platform for the startup community present at all MWC events around the world.
MWCapital’s Board of Trustees is made up of Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Fira de Barcelona, GSMA, Telefónica, Vodafone, Orange, DAMM and CaixaBank.

We generate projects linked to advanced communication networks and innovative digital services to address existing digital divides and respond to key needs for the development of society and the economy.
Incorporating sustainability as a transversal element
We understand sustainability as the basis and principle of any action we carry out, because it puts technology at the service of people – and not the other way around – and people, at the service of the planet. This way of working and understanding the relationship between people, technology and planet allows us to identify the “change makers”, the true vectors of change.
4YFN
MWC’s startup platform that connects startups, investors, companies, and institutions to foster the development, discovery, and launch of newly created technology projects. Founded by MWCapital, 4YFN is one of the most influential startup gatherings in the world with events in Barcelona, Shanghai and LA.
mSchools
mSchools helps students and teachers integrate digital technologies into the classroom, enabling them to offer new ways of teaching and learning, improving academic outcomes and employability. In 2019, the program was recognized by UNESCO as a global benchmark in mobile learning.
d-LAB
Program aimed at responding to global social challenges by identifying digital transformation solutions and projects through public-private consortiums.
Innovation Hub
A business platform that allows startups, corporations and public institutions to discover, create and launch new initiatives together.
Going Digital
Experiences aimed at professionals in key sectors, with the aim of improving their digital skills and helping companies understand digital transformation.
