Mobile World Capital and Huawei signed today a collaboration agreement for the promotion and development of joint smart communications projects in all areas related to Mobile World Capital’s work. The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the organization, as a prelude to a long-awaited less restricted edition of the Mobile World Congress.
The agreement was signed by Mobile World Capital’s CEO Carlos Grau and Eric Li, CEO of Huawei Spain. “This agreement with Huawei reinforces and brings us closer to our objective of boosting the digital development of society, thus helping improve people’s lives globally. Having Huawei by our side will undoubtedly amplify the impact of Mobile World Capital initiatives and help transform them into solutions for people’s daily lives. Reducing the digital divide and improving technological health and emergency services are some of our joint lines of work,” said Carlos Grau.
The collaboration plan includes projects related to all Mobile World Capital areas of work. “At Huawei we are convinced that innovation and technology are the main levers for a better and sustainable world. In this sense, our company will contribute its extensive knowledge, high innovation capacity as well as significant investment in order to improve people’s lives. This will also foster the progress of institutions, companies and industries from all sectors in the digital environment. This has been Huawei’s commitment in Spain for more than 20 years, in collaboration with institutions and strategic partners such as Mobile World Capital, which is key in order to provide maximum value to society as a whole” said Eric Li, CEO of Huawei Spain.
The agreement foresees the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at reducing the digital talent gap such as digital skills training for professionals, supporting disadvantaged groups, fostering female talent and launching digital solutions that help understand and address the ethical, social and economic challenges of the digital transformation.
