Mobile World Capital Barcelona holds the first meeting of the Board of Trustees since CaixaBank joined the Foundation

Today, Mobile World Capital Barcelona (MWCapital) has held a meeting of its Board of Trustees at which it formalised CaixaBank’s membership of this body. MWCapital’s top governing body will henceforth include Jordi Gual, Chairman of CaixaBank, who will be accompanied by new representatives from the Regional Government of Catalonia –Meritxell Budó, Minister of the Presidency and Spokesperson of the Catalan Government– and from Barcelona City Hall –Jaume Collboni, First Deputy Mayor–.

These new members were accompanied at the meeting by the Minister for Digital Policy, Jordi Puigneró, the Minister of Business and Knowledge, Àngels Chacón, and the Mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau. Participants at the meeting also included John Hoffman, CEO of GSMA Ltd and Constantí Serrallonga, General Director of Fira de Barcelona.

The MWCapital Board of Trustees is formed by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Business, the Regional Government of Catalonia, Barcelona City Hall, Fira de Barcelona, and –GSMA, all of which are founding members of the institution–, as well as Telefónica, Vodafone, Orange, Damm and, from today onwards, also CaixaBank.
