Barcelona, 21 June 2019.- On 25 June, twenty startups from all over Spain that operate with technology and innovation applied to sectors such as tourism, telecommunications and trade will travel to Shanghai (China) in association with Mobile World Capital Barcelona (MWCapital). The purpose of this initiative is to help technology-based companies gain access to the Asian market.
The participating startups will be given an exhibition space in the 4 Years From Now (4YFN) area of MWC Shanghai , which will take place from 26 to 28 June. During their stay the startups will take part in activities that include pitch sessions for presenting their company, one-to-one meetings, and sessions on smart industry and on how to access funds in China.
It is the fifth year that MWCapital has organised this initiative, alongside the Ministry of Economy and Business (through Red.es), the Regional Government of Catalonia (through ACCIÓ) and Barcelona City Hall (through Barcelona Activa).
The delegation is formed by:
Abitari (Barcelona): a provider of software for digitalising and streamlining the hotel check-in process by turning any tablet into a check-in kiosk.
Accent Systems (Barcelona): a supplier of IoT (Internet of Things) solutions for companies. It offers geolocation- and monitoring-based products and develops tailored IoT solutions.
Barcelona Technology School (Barcelona): an international training institution in Barcelona that offers Masters’ qualifications and corporate education focused on digital transformation.
Bibold Solutions (Barcelona): creates corporate mobile apps with business intelligence that facilitate mobile business management based on relevant real-time data.
BitPhy (Barcelona): Artificial Intelligence-based software for chains of stores that provides data access and analysis with the latest predictive and prescriptive algorithms.
Brightsight (Barcelona): an independent laboratory that offers cybersecurity services worldwide.
Cabroworld (Barcelona): a digital platform with 28 million followers on its website, Instagram and Facebook pages that provides humorous coverage of news, games, sport, automobiles, animals, etc.
ChineSpain (Madrid): a platform and app of tourism experiences for Chinese tourists travelling in Spain and at other points in southern Europe
Conecta Wireless (Barcelona): an IT solutions provider and telecommunications operator addressed to companies and corporations.
Emite (Murcia): provides test systems, products and processes that improve the efficiency and performance of wireless devices.
Glue Digital (Vigo): an agency specialised in digital strategy, UX, design and technological development to help organisations and individuals grow in a connected world.
Irdetec Consulting y Asesoría SL (Seville): helps technology-based companies to design, plan and develop their innovation and development strategies.
Lucid Design Agency (Barcelona): an agency focused on innovation that offers research, product strategy and design, brand and digital services, etc.
Nido Robotics, SL (Murcia): manufactures underwater drones with which to undertake inspection, maintenance and investigation tasks safely and efficiently.
Power2go (Barcelona): an app that provides access to a network of rental powerbanks for charging mobiles. You pick up the powerbank at a station, charge the mobile and return the powerbank to any station.
Queres Tecnologías, SL (Coruña): has been helping companies and institutions in digital transformation since 2005. Specialised in eHealth and information management.
Summa Networks (Madrid): provides in-house built telecom software such as HSS, HLR and EIR.
Terawifi (Barcelona): an operator specialised in low-cost WiFi for communities. It offers an extensive line of indoor and outdoor WiFi products and services.
Viewtinet (Madrid): provides solutions for quick, simple and visual access to all significant information provided by KPIs and reports of apps, users, devices, etc.
Wavecontrol (Barcelona): designs and develops professional instruments for measuring, monitoring and evaluating human exposure to electromagnetic fields.
