4 Years From Now (4YFN) has successfully closed its first edition within the framework of the GSMA Mobile World Congress Americas (MWCA) with participation from more than 150 international startup companies, as well as government organisations from Spain. The event, which was held in San Francisco from 12 – 14 September, has given entrepreneurs, investors and large corporations the opportunity to connect with one another and establish important links within the globally renowned and innovative Silicon Valley ecosystem.

Over the three days, 4YFN organised activities designed to establish connections among all the participants, which included talks as well as expert panel discussions around digital innovation, startup pitching sessions and various networking activities to introduce entrepreneurs to investors and vice-versa.

Speakers such as David Fischer, Vice President of Business & Marketing Partnerships at Facebook, Robert Scoble, Partner at Transformation Group and Benedict Evans, Partner at a16z, a leading risk capital company in Silicon Valley that invests in tech companies, were just a few of the influential figures that took to the 4YFN Soracom Theater stage during the event.

Startups that were exhibiting also had the chance to take part in mentoring sessions with industry experts to receive guidance on how to boost their growth through new partnerships and strategic relationships. This activity was led by prominent figures from the international entrepreneurship and innovation world, such as Laura Kennedy, Vice President of Corporate Development at Techstars, Milan Kock and Adi Abili, both Managing Directors of Accelerators at AngelHack.
