- MWCapital and Clúster Audiovisual collaborate to turn Barcelona into an international digital and creative hub

The Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation and the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia will promote the development of synergies and new business opportunities between the audiovisual sector and the digital world and will work together to turn Barcelona into an international hub. These are the objectives of the agreement signed between Aleix Valls, General Director of Mobile World Capital Barcelona and Jordi Mendieta, President of the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia.
The agreement also establishes that the two entities will promote the digital transformation of companies in the audiovisual sector, the dissemination of digital knowledge and the promotion of new projects. The Cluster will collaborate in MWCapital’s activities aimed at turning Barcelona into a digital and Mobile hub of global reference.
Mobile World Capital Barcelona promotes the mobile and digital transformation of society with the aim of improving people’s quality of life. With the support of the public and private sector in Barcelona, Catalonia and Spain, MWCapital focuses on three areas: training new generations, professionals and citizens in the use of digital technologies; digital transformation of industry and acceleration of innovation through digital entrepreneurship, to generate an impact on the economy, industry and education.
Clúster Audiovisual de Catalunya is a group that integrates companies from the entire audiovisual value chain with the aim of improving the competitiveness of the sector. One of the main activities of the Cluster is to promote innovation and new business opportunities offered by digital technologies. The audiovisual sector in Catalonia has a turnover of more than 1,500 million euros and employs some 13,000 people.
