Mobile World Capital Barcelona will participate in the first edition of MWC Doha with a prominent presence structured in two main blocks: an institutional delegation and a delegation of deep tech start-ups from The Collider programme. The institutional delegation will include Francesc Fajula (CEO of MWCapital), Maria Galindo (Secretary of Digital Policies of the Government of Catalonia) and Jordi Valls (Deputy Mayor for Economy, Finance, Economic Promotion and Tourism of Barcelona City Council), who will participate in the Opening Ceremony of the congress, in strategic meetings with key players in the Middle East technology ecosystem and in the 4YFN PANEL SESSION: Digital Gateways connecting Europe and the MENA Region, focusing on how Catalonia, Barcelona and Qatar can act as complementary digital gateways between Europe and the MENA region. The institutional agenda will also include the 4YFN Innovation Ecosystem Tour, organised by GSMA.
At the same time, a delegation of seven deep tech start-ups from The Collider’s portfolio will be engaged in intensive networking, meetings with investors and matchmaking sessions, as well as having their own visibility space in the start-up corner. The focal point of this block will be the MWCapital Pitching Session, presented by Albert Mascarell, Chief of Tech Transfer at Mobile World Capital Barcelona, which will introduce The Collider’s methodology and present the startups AllRead, Yplasma, Nanochronia, UniSCool, Cooling Photonics, Dipneo and Nema Health.
With its participation, Mobile World Capital Barcelona reinforces the international projection of the digital and technological ecosystem of Barcelona and Catalonia and strengthens ties with the Middle East region.
