This morning was the inauguration of Tech&Play, the festival organised by Mobile World Capital Barcelona that will allow families to learn about and interact with the latest technological innovations that will play a leading role in the future of society.
From Friday 17 to Sunday 19 March, at the Teatre Lliure de Montjuïc there will be around thirty free activities and talks for all audiences. Tech&Play will culminate with the Family Day on Sunday. At 12 noon, 500 people have already visited the technology festival.
The opening ceremony was attended by Laia Bonet, Third Deputy Mayor of Barcelona City Council; Gina Tost, Secretary for Digital Policies of the Generalitat de Catalunya; Maria Eugènia Gay, Delegate of the Spanish Government in Catalonia; and Francesc Fajula, CEO of Mobile World Capital Barcelona.
On this first day there will be dialogues with experts such as: Chema Alonso, Gerard Romero, Jordi Mussons, Sor Lucia Caram. In addition to technological experiences such as: the successful Feel The Technology tour, which will take you on a circuit through the 5 senses to get closer to the latest trends in the digital world; an exhibition of works of art inspired by Barcelona and in digital format, thanks to the Moool art gallery; the Plantivers where you can have a conversation with the interactive plants Herbie and Minty; or ZOOHHH!, a holographic zoo, where through a volumetric screen the youngest visitors can interact with four animals from the Barcelona Zoo.
Tech&Play is an initiative of Mobile World Capital Barcelona, promoted by the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, the Government of Catalonia and Barcelona City Council, with the support of CaixaBank, Damm and Vodafone.
