The Mobile World Capital Barcelona (MWCB) Foundation and the Cercle Tecnològic de Catalunya (CTecno; Technological Circle of Catalonia) have signed a collaboration agreement to promote the Catalonian ICT sector and support initiatives related to the Information and Knowledge Society.
The accord, signed by Jordi W. Carnes, President of CTecno, and Agustí Cordón, Executive Vice-president of MWCB, states that both institutions will create new opportunities for collaboration and business, and foments the technological transformation of the Catalonian business community. The agreement aims to encourage the exchange of knowledge and experiences that benefit both organisations.
The document proposes the holding of an annual meeting with SMEs from the ICT sector, to take place in Barcelona. The collaboration will also generate synergies with the GSMA Mobile World Congress in order to maximise the presence of the Catalonian ICT sector at this forum.
Finally, MWCB will also collaborate at the Networking Breakfasts and Techno Lunches, industry meetings organised by CTecno targeting the ICT community.
