Barcelona, 27 February 2022 – Nearly 200 representatives of the digital and entrepreneurial ecosystem gathered today at the Convent dels Àngels on the occasion of the Mobile Lunch organized by Mobile World Capital Barcelona. Besides kicking off the Mobile World Congress 2022, this year’s Mobile Lunch was the first celebration of Mobile World Capital’s tenth anniversary.
The event was attended by the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonés; the vice-president and Digital Policies and Territory minister, Jordi Puigneró; the third deputy mayor, Agenda 2030, Digital Transition, Sports and Territorial and Metropolitan Coordination councilwoman, Laia Bonet; the Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence State secretary, Carme Artigas; GSMA’s CEO John Hoffman and Mobile World Capital Barcelona’s CEO Carlos Grau.
“I am proud to celebrate the Mobile World Capital Foundation’s tenth anniversary in such a special year”, said Carlos Grau.” A year which marks the comeback of the Mobile World Congress. We celebrate ten years with accomplished goals and new challenges as a foundation and as part of the digital ecosystem; and we want to make the most of it by, all together, coming up with the questions that can ignite the revolution that society needs”, he added.
The anniversary’s logo and slogan “Revolution begins with a question” were unveiled during the event. They reflect the Mobile World Capital Foundation’s role as a lever for change towards a future that is yet to be created.
The Mobile Lunch was held at the Convent dels Àngels. Carlos Grau called the patrons to the stage where they conveyed their commitment to the purpose of the organization, which is promoting the digital development of society and help improve people’s lives globally.
