Mobile World Centre launches the second edition of its short story contest for mobiles and the web 2.0

Mobile World Centre presents the second edition of “Be Brief” (Sea Breve), a short story contest for mobiles, and the Web 2.0 organized by Telefónica and Mobile World Capital Barcelona.

As in the first edition, which was attended by more than 200 participants, the contest consists of three categories: a short story of up to 500 characters; micro-poetry, and a piece of original humor, both of 140 characters or less. The winners in each category will be announced at the ceremony held to celebrate the Day of Sant Jordi and hosted by Mobile World Centre. They will receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, a Nokia Lumia 625, and a Huawei G526, respectively. Participants will also be able to read their texts at the Mobile World Centre auditorium, where the best performance will be recognized with a Sony E-Reader. In the same way, a reward will be granted for the image that best reflects the Diada (National Day of Catalonia) at the Center’s facilities under the label #mSantJordi

The “Be Brief” judging panel consists of the writer and journalist Guillermina Royo-Villanova, José Ángel Mañas, author of the “Historias del Kronen” (Stories from the Kronen) tetralogy, Javier Divisa, and the poet María Malena. Throughout the day, these and other figures from the literary and artistic world will participate in the most interactive Sant Jordi 2.0 event ever.

If you want to participate in the contest it’s as simple as visiting the website of the Centre and filling in the form. You can also participate through Twitter or Facebook, following these instructions.
