The exhibition, promoted by Mobile World Capital Barcelona and the Government of Catalonia, has brought the latest MWC innovations closer to the public for over 100 days.
In 2026, MWCapital will renew its exhibition proposal at Palau Robert, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of MWC in Barcelona.

25/September/2025
The exhibition “Simbiòpolis” has been one of the major cultural, recreational, and technological attractions of this summer in Barcelona. More than 23.000 people visited the interactive exhibition organized by Mobile World Capital Barcelona and the Government of Catalonia at Palau Robert, between June 13 and September 24, of 2025. The free-access exhibition allowed all kinds of audiences to explore technological experiences showcased at the latest edition of MWC, focusing on how technologies such as AI, robotics, and supercomputing are integrated into our daily lives to improve people’s well-being and help create more comfortable, inclusive, and sustainable cities.
Throughout the summer, Simbiòpolis occupied Room 3 of Palau Robert, doubling the exhibition space compared to the previous year. A 350 m² journey where technological and artistic experiences coexisted, all related to technology, the city, people, and nature.
The more than 23.000 visitors were able to test experiences based on technologies developed or being implemented in Barcelona, thanks to collaborations with the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, CaixaBank, EIT Urban Mobility, and Vueling. In addition to interacting with these innovations—presented during the past MWC25—visitors also discovered artistic proposals that reflect on how these technologies relate to challenges such as population aging, air quality, and responsible consumption models, among others.
The ‘Simbiòpolis’ initiative was complemented by a parallel program of activities at Palau Robert, including panel discussions, expert talks, and family workshops addressing the relationship between technology and society.
Special Edition for MWC’s 20th Anniversary
‘Simbiòpolis’ strengthens the agreement between MWCapital and the Government of Catalonia to organize an annual exhibition at Palau Robert, aimed at bringing technological advances closer to citizens and reinforcing Barcelona’s role as a global reference in digital transformation. The initiative started in 2024 with the exhibition ‘Remember the Future’ and, following two successful editions, its continuity is already confirmed. In 2026, the exhibition will return to Palau Robert, coinciding with the celebration of the 20th anniversary of MWC Barcelona.
