Talent Arena 2026, the event promoted by Mobile World Capital Barcelona and co-located with MWC Barcelona and 4YFN, once again positions Barcelona as a meeting point for digital talent. From 2 to 4 March, the event will bring together global technology leaders, professionals, students, companies and technology communities at Fira Montjuïc with the aim of fostering connections, learning and new opportunities within the digital ecosystem.
After a first edition in which it established itself as Europe’s leading event for the developer community, Talent Arena 2026 goes a step further and presents a first-class programme, with prominent speakers from the European and international technology scene, leading figures in areas such as artificial intelligence, software development, cybersecurity and cloud computing, as well as emerging technologies that will mark the future, such as quantum computing or NewSpace. The programme also incorporates expert voices in management and leadership, disciplines that are increasingly key in a context where technological talent has become a strategic asset for organisations.
Among the most prominent names in Talent Arena 2026 are figures who have marked key milestones in the history of technology, such as Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, along with emerging talents who are defining the future, such as Pablo Jarillo-Herrero, Professor at MIT and pioneer in the study of graphene. The edition also features international experts who bring diverse perspectives, such as Kate Darling, robotics researcher; Steve Aoki, DJ, producer and entrepreneur; and Tim Serewicz, Vice President of Education at The Linux Foundation. Other keynote speakers in the XPRO area include Bianca Cefalo, CEO of Space DOTS; Abdel Sghiouar, Senior Cloud Developer Advocate at Google; and Matteo Bianchi, Solutions Engineer at GitHub. Science and technology communicators such as Carlos Santana, known as DotCSV; José Luis Crespo, known as Quantum Fracture, and Tim Roedenbroker, will also contribute their perspectives at the technologies that are transforming society and organizations.
Talento Arena 2026: expanded programme and new specialised spaces
The Talent Arena programme includes 164 content sessions, 45 workshops, more than 20 activities in the Skills Lab, and more than 30 robotics and gaming sessions, thus consolidating the event as one of the Europe’s leading meeting points between talent, business and technological innovation.
The main novelty compared to the previous edition is the incorporation of the new XPRO area, a cross-disciplinary space designed specifically for experienced professional profiles. This new space will offer advanced content, specialised sessions and strategic networking opportunities, with the aim of promoting high-impact technological projects and strengthening the connection between talent and business on a European scale.
Hackathons are once again one of the core pillars of this edition and have generated significant interest among the developer community, with more than 4,000 people registered from more than 96 countries. The Talent Arena thus becomes an environment of intensive creation, where talent works on real challenges posed by leading organisations such as the Barça Innovation Hub, the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre, GSMA and EAE, among others. This format encourages collaboration, promotes open innovation and enables the development of impactful solutions throughout the event.
Another outstanding novelty of this second edition is the incorporation of the Next HR content track; content exclusively designed for Human Resources professionals. This space will address the main strategic challenges linked to the management of digital talent across its full journey – from attracting and recruitment new profiles to development, retention and data-driven decision-making – with a forward-looking vision. Leading companies such as SEAT, ISDIN, Perk Global and Unilever will be some of the leaders of these sessions, sharing real experiences and practical approaches that highlight digital talent as a strategic asset for the competitiveness and growth of organisations.
This year’s edition also reinforces the dissemination and practical experience with the Robotics & Gaming space. Visitors will be able to see robots in action capable of drawing portraits with voice commands, humanoids for social interactions, and innovative devices that interpret and respond to human movement. The gaming area will explore the potential of video games and artificial intelligence applied to gaming, combining learning, creativity and entertainment within a single environment.
Talent Arena is supported by CaixaBank as Main Partner and Schneider Electric and SEIDOR as event sponsors, which play a key role in strengthening the link between the business ecosystem and training to promote the generation of new technological talent.
