Reading Time: < 1 minute
When Giulio Giovanni's school closed due to the pandemic, the lack of internet connection at home prevented him from continuing his classes. His mother, Gloria Nucci, worried about her son’s education and decided to take him to a spot where she knew there was access to the internet, and Giulio would be able to continue with his classes. Coincidentally, that spot was under a tree on a hill.

His story spread quickly around the world, proving that the digital divide is not restricted to developing and distant countries. Your home, neighbourhood or city, like Giulio’s family in Italy, can also be disconnected. Gloria tells us about her son’s experience and how they tackled the situation.
