5G Barcelona incorporates the SIRT Group as an associate

• The two organizations sign a collaboration agreement to position Barcelona and Catalonia globally as benchmark centres in 5G technology

Barcelona, 23 February 2021-. 5G Barcelona has included among its partners the SIRT Group, an organisation that improves business processes using technological solutions. The collaboration agreement expresses a shared desire to position Barcelona and Catalonia globally as a benchmark centre for 5G, in an innovative, open and dynamic environment connected to the local ecosystem, and to leave a legacy both in the region and in society.

The 5G Barcelona initiative will henceforth be able to draw on the proven experience and track record of the SIRT Group in performing its different activities and projects. The agreement was signed by Eduard Martín, CIO & 5G Programme Director of Mobile World Capital, and David Garriga, CEO and founding partner of the SIRT Group.

According to Eduard Martín “the incorporation of the SIRT Group in 5G Barcelona will help us to meet one of our major objectives as an alliance: creating synergies with the business network to establish the initiative as a benchmark 5G hub in southern Europe”.

David Garriga, meanwhile, stated that joining 5G Barcelona “is a strategic decision for the company” and will enable it to “take part directly in new projects, continue working to generate opportunities associated with 5G technology, and consolidate relations with agents in the digital ecosystem”.
